7/2/10 Katie's Healthy Eating Journal: Friday

by katie 3. July 2010 12:37

I can't wait until I am back to my "normal, healthy" diet again!  It's such a difficult task trying to think of things for lunch and dinner.  Lunch is especially hard because I am not supposed to have feta cheese, deli meats, or 98% fat-free hot dogs.  I love Subway also so this makes it tricky when eating out and trying to ensure that lunch is a healthy choice.  LOL, what's even more frustrating is how much I hate chicken right now so that's not even an option!  Even hummus is tough for me because it has a strong garlic after-taste which I hate while I'm pregnant.  See what I mean?  A lot of my favorite options are a no go right now because they make me want to hurl just thinking of them!  Looks like today I'm going to do egg salad with fat-free mayo so I can still get in my protein...

Have you tried Lemon Hummus?  Smile  It's my fave!  Sabra makes the best, but they only have it at Biggs.  Whole Foods' lemon hummus is great too- cheaper, but has a stronger lemon taste which I like.... No garlic aftertaste whatsoever!
