Friday we are traveling to the beach for our first vacation, just the 3 of us.  It's about a 12 hour drive so we are going to try and do about 8 hours on today and 4 more tomorrow...haha if our son will let us!  It's always tough finding a fast food restaurant to eat at while you're on the road...especially if you'd like to eat more than a salad!  Sometimes salads can get old.  What are healthier options while you're traveling and need something quick?

  • grilled chicken from Wendy's; no mayo = 7 g fat, 340 cal
  • Subway if you choose , turkey, ham, or roast beef; no cheese, wheat bread
  • Taco Bell's 2 grilled steak soft-shelled taco's; no sour cream, very light cheese = 4.5 g fat, 320 cal (but probably very high in sodium)
  • KFC now carries grilled chicken strips!
  • baked potato with broccoli on top from Wendy's


Breakfast -

JC Blueberry Pancake and sausage with 1/4 cup sugar-free syrup


1 cup fat-free organic milk

Snack -

JC Anytime Bar

Lunch -

Subway 6 in. turkey sandwich on flatbread with mustard and tons of veggies

Snack -


Dinner -

3 oz. grilled chicken and a small side of rice

Salad (mixed greens, peppers, mushrooms, tomatoes) 2 tbsp. light ranch

Snack -

JC Triple Chocolate Cheesecake
