7/26/15 Katie's Healthy Eating Journal: Tuesday

Some readers have asked what my son's been up to in terms of his milestones, etc. so I thought I'd fill you in!  He is currently 9 months old (time sure does fly!).  He is not crawling yet but kind of scooting on his belly.  He has decided that he can roll anywhere he wants to be.  But, of course, that means it is time to put a gate at the top of the stairs because he rolls himself all the way across large rooms.  He explores everything with his toes which my family and I find hilarious.  It's literally like he's a monkey.  If you are playing with him he'll wrap all four limbs around your arm!  While we were on vacation he just wouldn't eat baby food.  It was a horrible fight for every meal so we tried a few mushy fruits and now he won't go back.  He's eating cut up spaghetti, ravioli, pizza, waffles, pancakes, tons of fruits, and even a few veggies!  I try to ensure they're whole grain, organic, and not mixed with a lot of preservatives and sugar.  I realize all of his foods won't be like this but I'd like most of his meals to consist of healthy ingredients.  FJ is able to hold his own bottle most of the time which is absolutely glorious!  It's like a new freedom being able to give him the bottle and have another free hand!  He is babbling like crazy and a very happy, laid-back baby.  I'm a proud mama and couldn't imagine life without my son anymore.
