I am contemplating TKR and am wondering if anyone has experienced this surgery and how it turned out for them. Also, who was your doctor? Hope someone is ready to chat about it. Take care.

Doctors who sppecialize in Fibromyalgia
 Donna H Posts 1

I have been through 12 MD's and come away with nothing. They all end up wanting to put me on anti-depressants. I just got off of Savella last Fall - it made me feel horrible. The only doctor that has helped me and has brought me from a 9-10 pain level to a 5-6 (today about a 4!) is Dr. Jason Pickel. He is a chiropractor (which I had been to some in the past with little result), but he is different. He uses what I found out is called brain-based rehabilitation which he uses different treatment (chiropractic neurology) and oxygen. I have learned so much from him on how fibromyalgia is caused by the nerve system. He also used lab tests that I never had and found issues with my adrenals and found out that I was gluten sensitive (so much for my chocolate cake addiction). I haven't felt this good in a long time and I actually decided to get back to work again. I can't remember his website - I will post it later. Hope you find help....

As spingtime appproaches, and the weather warms up, many people will spend more time outside planting, pulling and mowing.Gardening can provide a great workout, but with all the bending, twisting, reaching and pulling, your body may not be ready for exercise of the garden variety. The back, upper legs, shoulders, and wrists are all major muscle groups affected when using your green thumb. A warm-up and cool-down is important in gardening as it is for any physical activity. Doing simple stretches during these periods will help alleviate injuries, pain, and stiffness. Chiropractic Care works on correcting misaligned or out of place vertebrae and can remove the pressure placed on the nerve endings improving flexibility and function. To see if Chiropractic may be a help to you please call 513-784-0084 today for a complimentary consultation!

snoring devices

I snore and have issues according to my significant other with breathing at times. I heard there were great oral appliances you can use to help iprevent snoring without needing a CPAP machine. Does anyone know where I can find the mouth guard like appliance with the screw adjustment in front to move my lower jaw slightly each night? I heard that is the best and fairly cheap but can't find it anywhere. Can anyone help me? I think it was invented in Florida but I'm not sure. Thank you in advance.

I was wondering how I could find a doctor who specialized in Fibromyalgia. I have tried to go through my insurance and they have not been much help. I have also spoke to my primary care doctor. She is prescribing Lyrica and darvacet for pain but on most days this does not touch the pain. Any help would be appreciated.

My insurance coverage is changing at the first of the year so for better coverage, I need to switch to a doctor within our health system. What is the best way to find a physician that specializes in Men's Health? I have done many searches on physicians but none show up as specializing in Men's Health. Do internist do more with men's health than family practice?

Is it a sinus infection due to allergies or LPR?
 BeBe Posts 2

I have been told that the siinus infections I get every year are due to allergies. I have been tested for allergies twice, (no reaction), had two CT Scans, and sinus surgery. I was told I was definately allergic to something, but it was something they didn't test for. The last time I had a sinus infection, I was referred to an ear, nose and throat doctor that told me I didn't have allergies or sinus problems, but I had LPR (Laryngopharyngeal Reflux). How can he tell if I have LPR (without doing anything) and his own colleagues are the ones telling me I am getting sinus infections due to allergies?
